William Lindesay & Guo BaofuBijan Omrani was educated at Wellington, and then attended Lincoln College Oxford. His first book, 'Ticking Tom and the Tornado', was published at the age of ten, after which he went on to become a contributor to 'The Spectator' whilst still an undergraduate. His research interests include the history of Islam, religious mysticism, early English choral music, and antiquarian clothing; he is also an occasional adviser to Spink on the design of medals. He has just completed a major revision of the Odyssey Guide to Iran and is working on an illustrated history of Iraq. In 2001 he was joint winner of the BBC Radio 3 sonnet competition. |
