May HoldsworthMay Holdsworth was born in Shanghai and educated in Hong Kong, Malaysia and England. She has been writing about China since 1979. Besides Forbidden City: The Great Within, she published The Hong Kong Story, co-authored with Caroline Courtauld, in 1997; another book on the Forbidden City in the Oxford University Press 'Images of Asia' series in 1998; and Foreign Devils: Expatriates in Hong Kong in 2002. |
